Mohd Zakir Hussain is a highly motivated and accomplished individual with a passion for excellence. He is currently working as an Associate at PwC, where he has gained extensive experience in the field of business consulting. He is a graduate of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he earned both a Bachelor of Technology and a Master of Technology in Mechanical Engineering. During his time at IIT Bombay, Zakir was elected as the General Secretary (Hostel Affairs), where he represented over 11,000 students on matters related to hostels and institute-wide facilities. He was awarded commendation for his exceptional service and management of the COVID-19 crisis and spearheaded a 3-tier team of 170+ secretaries to augment campus facilities, conjointly with authorities. He was also part of various policy-making bodies affecting 20,000+ residents and visitors of the IIT Bombay community and headed the `Hygiene Committee' aiming to improve food safety standards in campus food outlets. He is currently spearheading the `Sustainability Cell' to ensure a greener and healthier environment for campus residents. Prior to joining PwC, Zakir worked as a Marketing Intern at ExxonMobil, where he assessed the market overview of n-paraffin and proffered effective substitutes from ExxonMobil's products for potential business leads. His experience at ExxonMobil helped him develop a deep understanding of the market and honed his skills in marketing and business development. Zakir is a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills. He is a quick learner and has a strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. With 1.11 years of relevant experience, he has demonstrated a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving excellence in everything he does.
